About Michael Posey

I have been a certified personal trainer for over 8 years. Fitness is an important part of my life and one of my biggest passions. I have worked with all ages and enjoy creating a plan tailored to each individual fitness level to help achieve their goals. When I am not in the gym, I am enjoying spending time with my family.

Athletic Background

I wasn’t a typical high school athlete. I grew up playing church league basketball and ran cross country in high school. I have always had a passion for professional wrestling and when I graduated high school I started training to become a referee. Through hard work and dedication I was able to reach my dream of being a referee in the WWE. Although I am no longer in the WWE I still enjoy wrestling on the weekends. I also enjoy training and competing in obstacle course races such as Bone Frog and The Barbarian Challenge.

Turning Point

When I graduated high school I barely weighed 100 pounds. I had self-esteem issues and decided to make a change. I started to focus on my eating habits to help me gain weight and also started working out. It wasn’t long until I was able to see my hard work pay off. I was able to gain healthy weight and start to have confidence in myself.

Passion

I am passionate about helping each individual that I train reach their goals. I enjoy seeing individuals reach a goal that they thought was impossible only to ask, “What’s next?”.  I want the gym to be the best part of your day, something to which you look forward.

I love leading class because I like to take experiences I have had with work outs and pass on little tricks and tips on to others. I am big believer that you really pick things up and they “click” in your brain in a workout while class is going on.

Motivation

While fitness has been a staple of my life I am motivated to stay healthy for my family. I want my son to grow up in a fitness environment that is encouraging, and rewards both effort and accomplishment. It is also important for me to set an example for those that I train.
